FAQ

Q: What is a cannabis cultivator’s #1 job?

A: The #1 job of any cannabis grower is to remove stressors from the plant and provide a balanced, consistent environment. Managing and maintaining a stable balance between atmosphere, assimilates and light is a cultivator’s true job description.

Q: What impactful areas of focus typically get overlooked by many cannabis cultivation teams?

A:  There are a few big ones. First is the envelope integrity of the facility. This is the most important first step and can determine the ultimate success of a project. Second is data collection and the development of unique insights from the grow. Many cultivators don’t have a specific plan on what data to capture and how to best use it once it’s captured. Third is a company-wide focus on making the vegitiative stage a priority. It has been said that the vegetaive stage is ‘where you make your money’, and we find this to be accurate. The correct  tools and SOPs for Veg are a priority for GCG and our clients.

Q: What do cannabis plants crave most?

The cannabis industry presents formidable challenges, many of which are unforeseen at the outset of a project. The Ganley Consulting Group’s years of experience in overcoming even the most complex of challenges saves our clients time, money and shortens the timeline to sustainable revenue generation and profitable growth.

Q: What are some of the biggest obstacles in new markets? What is the GCG approach to solving these issues?

A: As the business of cannabis cultivation continues to mature rapidly and expand internationally, the inefficiencies and inconsistencies of production at scale are taking center stage. Because cannabis cultivation at commercial scale is an emergent industry with limited history and non-standardized, disintegrated practices, cultivation outcomes have fluctuated wildly, and cultivators continue to seek guidance and trusted solutions in a fractured marketplace.

Many legacy cultivation techniques have now become obsolete, due to continuously mounting price and regulatory pressures. To gain and maintain competitive advantage in a rapidly changing market, cannabis businesses must now become hyper-focused on operational efficiencies across the entire cultivation value chain.  To do this successfully, cultivation teams require access to an integrated suite of tools, technologies and practices that are evidence-based and data-driven. In emerging international markets where cannabis cultivation experience is limited or non-existent, these tools need to be automated, modular, scalable and repeatable with a distinct focus on digital training tools, based on proven low-cost cultivation techniques.

GCG delivers these solutions as part of a unique, digitized cannabis education and training strategy.
